FutureGov will be hosting Councillor Camp on January 12th, 2013, at Facebook’s London headquarters, in partnership with Facebook and the Local Government Information Unit, amongst others.
According to FutureGov, the event, which is free, “will be an opportunity for local politicians to share how they’re using social and digital media to engage, campaign and change the way services are delivered to their residents.”
The event will include a keynote speech, panels and presentations from industry experts as well as politicians involved in using digital and social media in their councils. Since the camp is for politicians of all levels of digital literacy, there will be a Learning Zone where participants can have their tech related questions answered – such as how to start a blog.
Spaces are limited and interested councillors can visit councillorcamp.com for more information.
