Users of the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch can now download OS MapFinder for free, Ordnance Survey’s first mobile app which includes free overview mapping for the whole country with the option of purchasing more detailed maps.

The prices of the detailed maps start at 69p and are cached, which means they do not require WiFi or mobile signal to view once downloaded.

Other features include: Real-time location tracking via GPS or Wifi positioning; place name/post code lookup; and zooming and scrolling between maps. It can be downloaded here:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/os-mapfinder/id577097874?mt=8
