Business services provider Agilisys has announced that it has acquired loGo_net, a software company focused on transforming citizens’ online experience, while founder Ben Darlington will join Agilisys as head of informatics. The loGo_net platform is customer-focused, with features including web chat and cyber signatures, and is already being used by several local authorities. The platform will be an addition to Agilisys’ suite of products which aim to deliver efficiencies and improved citizen experience for local government, including the Agilisys Digital platform launched last year.
Darlington will continue to develop and add to the software’s features. According to Agilisys, “although the software will continue to be offered as a stand-alone product, councils and their residents will benefit from further integration of loGo_net within the Agilisys Digital platform, as together the products deliver an improved digital citizen experience, significantly increasing channel shift, contributing to much needed savings while still meeting customer expectations.”
Darlington has government expertise as prior to founding loGo_net in 2008 he held roles including CIO for Essex County Council and Head of ICT Strategy and Architecture for Kent Council. “I’m delighted to be joining Agilisys, a company with the resources and expertise to really unlock the potential of loGo_net,” he said.
Agilisys CEO Steven Beard added, “This acquisition supports our longer term growth strategy and is totally complementary to Agilisys Digital, our ‘once and done’ self-service platform. We are totally committed to continuing to develop a truly personalised digital experience built around citizens’ needs, expectations and behaviours.
“With loGo_net we have found a strong proposition and cultural fit, and are extremely confident of the benefits to our business, our customers, and especially to their residents,” he added.
Agilisys has unveiled its Community Cloud solution to address the needs of public sector organisations on their journey to the cloud.
