65 delegates from 25 Scottish Councils attended the ‘Scottish Local Authorities Going Mobile’ event at Microsoft in Edinburgh on Wednesday.

Amongst the speakers was Ciaran McClintock of Consilium – software solution providers and the host of the event this year as well as last – who has had years of experience in implementing mobile projects in Scotland’s local authorities.

According to McClintock: “Local Authorities in Scotland are really pushing ahead into using the latest mobile technologies to make savings and improve the services they provide in the community. Every time we hold an event here there is always a great response. I think this is down to councils taking the lead from our customers such as Aberdeen City Council who have a very successful mobile project and Fife Council who are taking an enterprise approach”.
