Highway inspectors in Rochdale now use Mayrise Highways Mobile software that run on Trimble Juno handheld devices to report inspections which are uploaded to a centralised Mayrise Highways system, and they also receive their daily schedule on the device. This has cut down on travel time between the office and the inspection site as well as reducing administrative burden.
Mayrise MapNow also provides inspectors with access to Ordnance Survey mapping and Rochdale Borough Council’s street gazetteer through which helps them find reported faults.
According to Bob Chadwick, senior engineer at Rochdale Borough Council, “The integrated mapping and street gazetteer makes it easy to find faults that may have been highlighted by a previous inspection, or reported by members of the public.”
