Leeds City Council has expanded the city’s free Wi-Fi service to Millennium Square in collaboration with Virgin Media Business. The service is completely free and is run by Virgin and Global Reach Technology at no cost to the council. A pre-Christmas launch party was held to mark the event in the city’s main shopping street which attracted thousands of users.
The council is looking to offer the service in more areas in the city centre.
