According to him, although the strategy has been designed for the central government, “it can operative effectively in a local government context as well.”
“A number of principles make sense to us, in terms of having a digital leader, doing channel shift in conjunction with process redesign and people change, all those things fit,” he said.
He also said that Newham, Havering and Waltham Forest are working together to have their websites interoperate with central government’s Identity Management framework.
