“We have to do more to make e-government work across borders”

The European Commission has said that under 50% of EU citizens use digital public services and those who did said that online banking and shopping gives more satisfactory results that  online government services.

According to EC Vice President Neelie Kroes: “When users are more satisified with online banking than online public services, it shows that public administrations must do better at designing e-government services around users’ needs. And we have to do more to make e-government work across borders.”
