So far, 12,000 people have signed up to a social media website called BigWhiteWall.com (BWW) aimed to help members of the armed forces and their families talk about their problems, defencemanagement.com has reported.

The website was commissioned by the Ministry of Defence, Clinical Commissioning Groups, the Department of Health and Help for Heroes. It enables users, who can stay anonymous, to get help from trained professionals and other members of the community.

According to one said: “BWW helped me feel less alone in Afghanistan. For a base with 15,000 people, Camp Bastion was a pretty lonely place. It’s good to know BWW is with me wherever and whenever I need it.”
