Canon UK, the imaging solutions firm, has been awarded a place on the HealthTrust Europe (HTE) Document Management Services Framework Agreement as a partner driving efficient and environmental practices.
HTE represents over 40 NHS Trusts with a portfolio of around 400 contracts. The organisation worked to make the customer contact process within medical, surgical, pharmaceutical and corporate categories more simple. The framework agreement simplifies procurement as it enables the customer to choose a supplier based on product-specific details from a catalogue of approved suppliers. The framework hopes to be able to deliver cost savings to the public sector as well as concentrating on other areas such as reducing the environmental impact of goods and services.
Canon has several energy efficiency measures, such as reduced hardware through fleet management and reduced electricity costs and paper consumption by managing user behaviour. According to Canon, it has previously helped public sector organisations reduce their environmental footprint by reducing power consumption and cut paper use by up to 20%.
