Melton Borough Council has selected web experience management firm Jadu through the G-Cloud for a GBP 86,000 contract to support its online transformation programme.
The project is being launched in partnership with Hinckley and Bosworth Council, and hopes to improve movbile access to online council resources for residents.
“We are committed to providing the local community with a seamless, consistent and high quality digital service, regardless of what device they may be using,” said Sarah-Jane O’Connor, communications manager at Melton. “Through our shared IT resources with Hinckley and Bosworth, we will be able to enjoy the benefits of a highly responsive website design that paves the way for future cost and productivity savings as our online services continue to develop.”
Initially there will be a focus on improving and automating the back end systems. The project is expected to be completed in six to seven months.
