Fast-growing IT and business services provider Agilisys announced today Luton Council had become the newest customer for its innovative Agilisys Digital platform, which allows ‘once and done’ citizen access to council services online. As part of an eight-year deal signed today, the council will work with Agilisys to implement a number of modules available in the multi-channel platform, which will enable a significantly improved experience for residents, whilst at the same time generating savings for the council.
When the platform launches early next year, residents will enjoy a seamless online experience via Agilisys Digital’s MyAccount portal on the council’s website, which will provide access to vital services including council tax, benefits, as well as extensive booking and scheduling functionality, covering everything from registrars to bulky waste pick up. The portal will also be available on mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets.
The implementation will also include integration with the increasingly popular Agilisys Engage personalisation software, further improving the users’ online experience by increasing understanding of visitors’ needs as they use the website, and then serving up the most relevant content based on this knowledge.
Robin Porter, corporate director for commercial and transformation services at Luton Borough Council, said: “In this increasingly online world, we know our citizens expect to access services how and when it suits them best, with a high quality experience regardless of what channel they use. We are confident that with the Agilisys Digital platform, including the integrated contact centre module, our residents will have an improved online service. This is not only simply the right thing to do, but will also lead to an increase in the numbers of citizens choosing to benefit from accessing services through the more efficient digital channels, meaning savings for the council that can then be used on front-line service delivery.”
Nigel Muirhead, Agilisys Director of Products added: “We’re delighted to add Luton to the growing list of local authorities whose residents will benefit from the improved access to services the Agilisys Digital platform provides. We look forward to building a long-term relationship with the council, not least due to the contract length, which shows confidence in both the current features within the platform, as well as its future roadmap.”
