Agilisys Digital to improve Oldham residents’ online experience

IT and business services provider Agilisys has signed Oldham Council as the newest customer for its Agilisys Digital platform, working through its existing long-term Unity Partnership to deliver the complete suite of modules.

That means once implemented local residents will have the ability to access vital transactional services such as council tax and benefits through a single MyAccount area on the council’s website, as well as through mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
As part of the roll-out, Agilisys will work with the council to deliver the AD Contact module within the Unity Partnership contract centre, meaning customer service advisors will be able to use the same platform as customers, giving residents who choose to complete part or all of their transaction through traditional phone or one-stop-shop methods a seamless experience, regardless of which channel they use.
The implementation will also include integration with increasingly popular Agilisys Engage personalisation software, further improving the users’ online experience, and therefore increasing the numbers of citizens choosing to benefit from accessing services through the more efficient digital channels, leading to savings for the council.
Councillor Abdul Jabbar, Cabinet Member for Finance, said: ‘In today’s digital environment, we know our residents expect to be able to access services in a variety of ways – online, by phone, or in person.
“There is a demand for a consistent and high quality experience whichever method members of the public decide to choose.
“By introducing the Agilisys Digital platform, we’ll be able to provide a complete self-service option for our residents, which is available 24/7, improves their service delivery experience, and saves money at the same time.”
Nigel Muirhead, Agilisys Director of Products, added: “We’re delighted to see Oldham alongside the Unity Partnership join our growing list of clients across the Manchester area, not to mention the rest of the UK, benefiting from the increased use of digital channels. This win is testament to the strength of the Agilisys Digital platform, combined with the personalised citizen experience provided by Agilisys Engage, and their ability to provide an enjoyable, improved digital experience for council and citizens alike.”
