IT and business services provider Agilisys has been selected by Remploy, a provider of employment services for disabled and disadvantaged people, to deliver the Agilisys Digital platform as well as innovative software product Agilisys Engage, meaning customers will benefit from an improved and personalised online experience.

This will be the first instance of either offering outside of local government, further evidence of the products’ growing success as well as extensibility to complementary markets such as third-sector organisations.

Implementation of Agilisys Digital, with its MyAccount portal means Remploy candidates will have an enhanced online experience, including single sign on, allowing them to access and track all stages of their job application process, on any device and through the channels they prefer.

As a provider of a wide range of innovative employment services, Remploy is driven by the fundamental belief that every disabled person can, with appropriate support and specialist advice, secure sustainable employment.

In the last four years Remploy has found more than 50,000 jobs in mainstream employment for people with a range of physical, sensory and mental disabilities and other disadvantages.

A key element of the implementation is the extensive deployment of Agilisys Engage personalisation software across the Remploy site. This will further improve the online experience by increasing understanding of visitors’ needs as they use the website, and then serving up the most relevant content based on this knowledge. The roll-out will also include Engage’s intuitive web chat functionality, which through the use of innovative anonymous visitor profiling recognises when a visitor to the site may be in need of additional assistance and then offers that help via online chat.

Beth Carruthers, Remploy’s Chief Executive said: “Signing the contract with Agilisys is an important step towards making on-line employment services for disabled people truly accessible. We are looking forward to working in partnership to achieve important digital channel shift within the Welfare to Work industry.”

Nigel Muirhead, Agilisys Director of Products added, “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Remploy to fulfil their mission by improving their customers’ online access to employment services. This is further evidence in particular of the wide applicability of Agilisys Engage to any sector where customer-centred service delivery and a personalised online experience is beneficial – in other words, any sector that has customers!”
