Notting Hill Carnival gets its own app

Visitors attending this year’s Notting Hill Carnival are being encouraged to use a new carnival app which will give up-to-date information on what’s happening at the Carnival, where and when. It will feature a map of the route, locations of sound stages, the judging point, first aid and safety zones and food stallsIt works with GPS to show you where you are and the maps still work on your smart phone even when there is no mobile reception. Carnival mApp is available as a free download from Apple Store and Google Play, as well as from the web

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson said: “This useful free App will help guide thousands of people around the carnival footprint to enjoy the array of floats, sounds and delicious Caribbean cuisines. It will also come in handy when planning entrance and exit points, ensuring you make the most of your celebrations this bank holiday weekend.”

The mApp was commissioned by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and is run by the Carnival organisers, London Notting Hill Carnival Trust Enterprises Ltd.
