DataCentres North 2016 exhibition and conference will take place from 10 – 11 February 2016 at Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground and conference centre.
The Data Centres North 2016 Conference has three main streams:
• Mission Critical Infrastructure
Focusing on the Northern Regional Strategy including Development Drivers, Market Drivers, Finance, People and Opportunities, the Strategy stream features speakers including a keynote from Ed Ansett, Group Chairman of i3 Solutions Group. Ed will discuss what is likely to drive data centre development in the future.
Dave Carter from the Centre for Urban Policy Studies at the School of Environment, Education and Development, University of Manchester, will take a look at the proposed digital strategy for the region.
Hannah Tracey from MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency, will offer insights in how the agency can help with financing change and development.
Speakers in the Operational stream of the conference will focus on how to reduce the running costs of data centres with energy efficient cooling systems and utilising the latest technologies for facility management.
Dr Christian Fieberg from DencoHappel is going to explain how implementing Best Available Technology for water treatment in IAC units can improve OPEX and CAPEX within Data Centres and ensure you are compliant with forthcoming legislation.
Rob Cardigan, Chairman of BSi TCT/7, will talk about the Construction Products Regulation and its impact on specifiers and the tendering process.
Mark Acton, Director, Critical Environments, CBRE will offer an update on the impact and implications from the updated Codes of Conduct that came into force on 1st January 2016.
Melanie Blackmore, Blackmore Consulting will speak about Energy Management Best Practice – How ISO50000 can assist DC operators to manage their Energy needs better and reduce cost.
Billy McHallum, Senior Manager Sustainability, EMEA at Equinix will present a paper on Data Centre Operations Best Practice – How to ensure you get maximum for your DataCentre – High Availability, Zero Downtime.
Power in Mission Critical Environments is going to be the focus of the third conference stream. Gary Burgon from The Rosebery Group will give an overview of the power issues affecting UK and the North.
