Haringey Council has rolled out a digital customer platform that allows residents to carry out council tax and housing benefit transactions online.
The Agilisys Digital platform was successfully launched earlier this week, which marks another step towards Haringey residents enjoying a seamless online experience when accessing council services, which will be available 24/7.
With the launch of the digital Council Tax and Housing Benefits service, customers can view their accounts or apply for discounts and exemptions online with no need to phone or queue at a customer service centre.
There are over 97,000 homes in Haringey, housing a population of over 267,000 and the council is keen to encourage take up across the borough.
This is the first stage of Haringey Council’s digital transformation journey and follows a call for local residents to “do it online”. Later this year Haringey and Agilisys will work together to integrate more services into the MyAccount setup, such as environmental reporting, pest control bookings and parking services.
Haringey Council cabinet member for resources and culture, Cllr Jason Arthur, said: “We are delighted to partner with Agilisys to provide a new digital platform for Haringey residents. Moving a number of transactions online will give Haringey residents greater flexibility in how they can access our services.
“As more services and transactions become available online, we’ll also be able to reduce costs, saving money for the services people in Haringey most rely on.”
