BT is calling on young people across the UK to take part in its BT Digital Champions initiative and share their internet skills to help some of the seven million adults who have never been online to join the digital world.
According to Security Minister James Brokenshire: “We are taking the fight to cyber criminals with the newly created National Cyber Crime Unit, which is part of the National Crime Agency.”
Providers will share their experiences of building digital literacy in housing communities and the latest trends in mobile technology will be showcased.
The council, which won the AP Manager of the Year category and the Outstanding Contribution Award, referenced V1’s technology as playing a significant part in the award success.
Burnley Council is using the platform to drive channel shift by offering a growing range of online services through its Your Burnley self-service portal.
Findings include the fact that learners are not motivated to access government services online before training, but 60% go on to do so as part of their regular internet use.
